Our Unforgettable Family Adventure in St. Augustine

Hey there, fellow travelers! Join me as I take you on a virtual journey through our family’s incredible experience in the captivating city of St. Augustine. With its rich history, stunning beaches, and endless opportunities for family-friendly fun, St. Augustine proved to be the perfect destination for our unforgettable vacation.

Sun, Sand, and Saltwater

Of course, no family vacation is complete without some fun at the beach! The Embassy Suites on St. Augustine Beach is one of our favorites places to stay and has become our go-to spot for sun-soaked adventures. The boys love the big waves and boogie boarding for hours on end. The kids love to bring their sand toys and take breaks building sand castles–which their sister ends up stomping on. There is something about a beach day that makes everyone so happy, but also so tired.

Exploring the Historic Marvels

Every time you step foot in St. Augustine you can’t help but be instantly transported back in time. The boys love the legendary Castillo de San Marcos. Walking through the massive stone walls, we imagined what life was like for the soldiers who once protected this magnificent fort. The breathtaking views of the city and ocean from the top were simply awe-inspiring. This next time we can’t wait to step foot inside, and explore the fort a little more.

Immerse in Nature’s Beauty

For the nature lovers you will love Anastasia state park! The tranquil beaches are a paradise for the kids, and if you go during the summer expect to splash in the crystal-clear waters. In the cooler months (or if you like the Florida heat) you can hike along nature trails, spot unique wildlife and discovering hidden treasures. The park also offers water sports options like kayaking and paddle boarding, ensuring there is never a dull moment.

Sweet Delights and Fond Farewells

Nightly you can find us walking the streets of the historic district. The historic district offers a delightful array of ice cream parlors and candy shops. We savor scoops of creamy gelato, delighted in handmade chocolates, and strolled along the charming streets, savoring every moment together as a family.

Our family adventure in St. Augustine is one of the trips we take yearly. From exploring historic forts to basking in the sun at beautiful beaches, this enchanting city truly had something for everyone. We marveled at its rich history, reveled in its natural beauty, and created precious memories that will last a lifetime. St. Augustine is a place where families can bond, explore, and embark on unforgettable adventures together. So, pack your bags, and get ready to make your own cherished memories in the remarkable city of St. Augustine. Happy travels!

Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let ANYONE tell you that one gender is easier than the other. Kids are kids and they each have their own personality. My daughter is very much into doing things herself without help—so potty training had to be done by her not the experts (myself). I used the same potty training technique that I used with the boys, and it did take a bit longer for her to get it—but that’s because she took what I told her to do and did her own thing. 🤣 The next big step? Moving to a big girl bed. I’m not ready. 😭
Ok smoothie, ice cream—it’s all the same thing Ok smoothie, ice cream—it’s all the same thing. Elevate your @corepower drink by using the @ninjakitchen Creami. To prep my ice cream I pour my drink into the container the night before with some bananas. The next morning it’s ready, I mix it twice on lite ice cream. If it seems like it’s not mixing well just add a splash of milk. I typically like to add Lilly’s Chocolate Chips, but they were missing so I found the marshmallows and said whatever and threw some in. I then mixed it on “mix in” and it seriously tastes like a frosty. It is delicious!
