Flipping Fun: My Visual Recipe for Buttermilk Pancakes

Hey there, my amazing friends! I’ve got something incredibly delicious and educational to share with you today. I recently created a visual recipe for buttermilk pancakes that you can find on Teachers Pay Teachers and my Etsy store, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer for bringing excitement and learning into the classroom or at home! Click on any picture in this blog post to be taken to recipe!

Imagine this: mouthwatering pancakes that are not only tasty but also serve as a fantastic teaching tool. It’s a win-win situation! Now, let me walk you through why this visual recipe is a must-have resource for teachers and parents alike.

First off, let’s talk about the visuals. I loved creating these visuals with my kids by taking pictures as we went along. With colorful real life illustrations and step-by-step instructions, this visual recipe grabs the attention of young learners and keeps them engaged throughout the cooking process. Trust me, I’ve seen the joy and wonder on my kid’s faces as they follow along—it’s priceless!

But it’s not just about the visuals; this recipe is packed with educational opportunities. We all know that cooking is a fantastic way to incorporate hands-on learning in the classroom. And guess what? This visual recipe takes it to the next level! As our little chefs mix the ingredients and witness the magic of batter transformation, they’re not just making pancakes; they’re learning about measurements, fractions, and following instructions. It’s like math and cooking combined—amazing, right?

And let’s not forget about the creativity and adaptability that this resource brings. It’s a blank canvas for our children’s imaginations! Whether they want to experiment with different flavors, add their favorite toppings, or even create pancake art, the possibilities are endless. This recipe empowers our students to express themselves, think outside the box, and unleash their culinary genius. Who knows, we might even discover the next pancake Picasso in our classroom!

But you know what truly warms my heart? The sense of community that this visual recipe fosters. Cooking and sharing meals have a way of bringing people together, and this recipe is no exception. By cooking together, our students build bonds, collaborate, and learn the value of teamwork. It’s a beautiful way to create memories and teach life skills that go beyond the classroom walls.

So, my friends, if you’re looking to spice up your classroom or home and make learning an unforgettable experience, I highly recommend checking out my visual recipe for buttermilk pancakes. Trust me, it’ll be a flipping good time! Bon appétit and happy cooking!

Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let ANYONE tell you that one gender is easier than the other. Kids are kids and they each have their own personality. My daughter is very much into doing things herself without help—so potty training had to be done by her not the experts (myself). I used the same potty training technique that I used with the boys, and it did take a bit longer for her to get it—but that’s because she took what I told her to do and did her own thing. 🤣 The next big step? Moving to a big girl bed. I’m not ready. 😭

To prep my ice cream I pour my drink into the container the night before with some bananas. The next morning it’s ready, I mix it twice on lite ice cream. If it seems like it’s not mixing well just add a splash of milk. I typically like to add Lilly’s Chocolate Chips, but they were missing so I found the marshmallows and said whatever and threw some in. I then mixed it on “mix in” and it seriously tastes like a frosty. It is delicious!
