First Birthday Gift Guide

Somehow my sweet little one turned one in the blink of an eye. It feels like just yesterday I was pregnant and figuring out life with two.

I say it all the time on my instastories, but I am in amazement by how different siblings can be. Come read about Bennett at a year here. We had a little birthday party last Saturday with some close friends, and it was a perfect intimate time. We rented a bounce house for the bigger kids, and they played in that the whole time. Carson enjoyed the cake (or should I say icing, he would spit the cake out). I’m so excited to see where this year takes us!

Weight: 21 lbs.

Height: 30.75″

Hair: It’s gone from a dark brown to a blondish color like his brothers.

Eyes: Big Brown eyes, and those dimples–he may be trouble!

Diapers: Size 4

Clothing: 12 months, 18 months, and 2T in Pajamas.

Sleeping: He went through a bit of a sleep problem when he had his first ear infection a couple weeks ago, but he’s back to sleeping regularly. THANK YOU. He takes two naps a morning and afternoon, but I think we are going to start cutting the morning nap.

Eating: He loves himself some milk, and eats almost everything we give him. His favorite though? Pizza and Pasta–he’s daddy’s boy.

Milestones: He started walking around 11 months, and says mama, dada, and has said all done a couple times.

Likes: trash can, toilets, climbing stairs–oh you know everything he supposed to do. He loves playing peek-a-boo, and reading the flap books. His favorite toy is definitely cars (just like big brother). We got him a small bounce house for his birthday and him and his brother enjoy it so much!

Family: Carson definitely has a favorite, and that person is daddy. He will say dada all day long and when he finally gets home the excitement is just precious. Bennett plays rough with Carson, but Carson actually loves it and laughs and knows how to take it or run.

However, our main focus of the week is RESPECT. Respecting the person in charge of our country, state, home, school, etc. even if you do not like them. 🇺🇸 We all have different views even if we all voted the same. I challenge you this week to respect others, to love one another even if you don’t agree with whatever is happening in our world. 💙

One reason I chose teaching was the way you could see the little minds shaped over a year. They are sponges and truly soak up everything! Everyday isn’t 🌈 and 🦋 and these boys test my patience daily, but I’m so blessed to be their teacher. Oh and the teacher gifts that come to my door daily are 👏👏 Did you homeschool this year, what did you love?
