To My Husband on Father’s Day + Gift Guide

To think back 14 years ago to when I first met you, I never would have thought I would look at you the way I do today.

I remember so vividly our years dating, and even more so I remember the night you proposed to me. It was magical, and I can relive that moment in my head many times over. The day we said I do was everything I wished for and more–you were finally mine forever.
A year and two months later we welcomed our sweet Bennett. I watched you as tears welled up in your eyes. This moment I will never forget.

Both of our worlds were changed, for the better. We became parents together. We took each day as it came, and learned the ropes of welcoming a sweet little person into our lives. I was blessed with being able to stay home with him, while you worked hard to provide for us. When you worked away for a few months, I loved seeing you light up when you saw Bennet step off the plane.

Then we welcomed Carson. This boy seriously loves you. His face beams when he sees you, and his excitement when you pick him up is out of this world. He is your mini me, and I can’t wait for him to walk in your foot steps.

You have sacrificed so much for us without complaints, and for that I am thankful. You gave up working late nights on your cars, for going to bed early. You gave up weekly softball tournaments, to spend it with your little guys.
The days are long, but the years are short. You really take this phrase and run with it. The time you spend with your boys is meaningful–you aren’t just present when they are playing with you, you engage with them.
I don’t think we tell you enough Nicolas–they love you. I love you. On Father’s Day we celebrate you.

Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let ANYONE tell you that one gender is easier than the other. Kids are kids and they each have their own personality. My daughter is very much into doing things herself without help—so potty training had to be done by her not the experts (myself). I used the same potty training technique that I used with the boys, and it did take a bit longer for her to get it—but that’s because she took what I told her to do and did her own thing. 🤣 The next big step? Moving to a big girl bed. I’m not ready. 😭
Ok smoothie, ice cream—it’s all the same thing Ok smoothie, ice cream—it’s all the same thing. Elevate your @corepower drink by using the @ninjakitchen Creami. To prep my ice cream I pour my drink into the container the night before with some bananas. The next morning it’s ready, I mix it twice on lite ice cream. If it seems like it’s not mixing well just add a splash of milk. I typically like to add Lilly’s Chocolate Chips, but they were missing so I found the marshmallows and said whatever and threw some in. I then mixed it on “mix in” and it seriously tastes like a frosty. It is delicious!
