The View of a 30-Something Mom of two

confessions, finally friday · September 23, 2016

Finally Friday!

Friday, my favorite day of the week as you all know by now. I am 29 weeks today, and am starting to feel Mr. Carson kick all day long. The boy is just like his brother just way lower. I’m kinda in disbelief that we have 11 weeks left. Could be less though–or more, GAH! I got some more awesome goodies in the mail this week, and soon enough I will get to share them all with you. Without further ado, here are my confessions.

I confess I had this awesome opportunity last night to go to a private opening event for Hanna Andersson. I contribute over at The Mommy Spot, which is an awesome mom group for moms in the Tampa area–and she had a ticket plus one so we made a little girls night out of it. I picked up some goodies, got some free PJ’s, and my friend won a $50 gift card as she was checking out. I am excited to go back and do some more shopping!

I confess that September flew by and October will be even faster which puts us to November where we will be on waiting for Baby Carson alert. I have some fun stuff planned in October that includes two weddings, my baby sprinkle, two trips to Disney, and a Women’s conference–Belong. I’m so excited for this sweet babe to grace us with his presence, and to be safe from Zika.

I confess I had a lovely baby book sent to me–and I’m telling you it is plain gorgeous. The pages are that thick paper that isn’t going to tear when you turn the page. It also has spots for you to write some stuff pre-pregnancy. I am going to be sharing more soon about the book, but trust me Sticky Bellies made a fabulous product.

I confess I am pretty excited about girls night tomorrow–I’m trying this new Mexican restaurant. The only downside? No margaritas. But brewing a baby is way better.

I confess I bought Beauty and the Beast, but left out that the word Beauty is in the title so that Bennett didn’t turn the movie down. Ha! I told him it was about a beast, a horse, some wolves, and an invention. Stretch the truth some guys. He loved it!

This time my mom and father in law joined and were able to experience a sonogram with us. It’s amazing all the things you can see on a 3D/4D sonogram including her sucking on the umbilical cord, each little finger, her foot on top of her head, and so much more. I highly recommend visiting @babyscene1 with your family.

Homeschooling—it’s something I have truly fall Homeschooling—it’s something I have truly fallen in love with. It allows me the best of both worlds—teaching and being home with my kids. Homeschooling allows these two to become the best of friends. It allows me to really take what we’re learning and put it into our world of play. Imaginative play is so amazing at this young age and they learn so much by just playing. Yesterday, after learning about parallel, perpendicular, and intersecting lines—I took the boys outside to find lines outside. They ended up making a “fire” using sticks that they found, and creating lines out of them. 🔥 If you are hesitant on homeschooling please ask me! I’d love to answer any questions!
