Can you believe it’s the first week of August already? School starts next week and I’m really excited to have Bennett enrolled in a wonderful part time program where he will enjoy play time, learning, and lunch with friends. Now more then ever with school starting is a perfect time to start meal planning. With the busy months of work, school, and after-school activities taking over our already busy lives it’s so important to sit down at the end of the day and talk with the people we love over a home cooked meal.
This week I blogged over at the Mommy Spot about 25 Slow Cooker Meals for Busy Moms. If you are a busyperson in general you must check them out. I tried to find only recipes that did not include any “cream of” anything. They are great meals which a good chunk of have been made by my family. This is also a great way to teach your little ones to cook by measuring out simple items and throwing them in the slow cooker.
One of the recipes I didn’t get to include in the post was a Peach Mango Teriyaki that is super easy and delicious. You must look back if you are thinking of a quick dinner for tonight. I hope you all have a fantastic week, getting back into this month we call August.
