The View of a 30-Something Mom of two

One of the very first and favorite blogs I started following was A Blonde Ambition. I learned so much from her style of writing, tone, and ideas she had. You can say I looked up to her as a blogging mentor–virtually. Leslie started having some heart issues back in February and ended up in the hospital for a few months. About a month ago, she got to go back home and be with her two precious girls (7 months and 1.5). A few weeks after returning things seemed to take a turn for the worst and she flew up on July 17th to Cleveland Clinic to have surgery. That was the last we all had heard from her, until today when Kelly’s Korner posted that she had passed.

Passed?! My mouth dropped at reading this. Tears actually welled up in my eyes. I quickly texted my husband and friend about it. I couldn’t fathom leaving my babies behind, my husband. They had only just started their life together. It breaks my heart to write this. I can only pray for peace for her family. Pray for her girls who will never know their mother.

I hugged my little one a little longer this morning. Told my husband I loved him a little extra today. You never know how long you have on this earth, tell your loved ones you love them. Fix whats wrong with those that matter.

Please pray for Leslie’s husband who lost his beloved wife, and his precious girls who will never get to know their mother. If you would like to donate to the family you can go here…http://www.gofundme.com/d53bgd5p8s

I am still going to continue on with my confessions every week, just as Leslie would love us all to do. šŸ˜‰

The sweetest mornings are spent with these three. The sweetest mornings are spent with these three. I love to do our together learning in the morning—which includes @masterbooks and @gospelproject_ devotion. My youngest even joins in for our morning breakfast devotion, and then reads and plays while we complete social studies and science. What’s your special moment each day?

He’s a sweet kid, who loves to be silly. He likes his alone time to play, but also loves when his brother plays with him. He surprises me daily with all the things he knows, and I’m so blessed we’re going on our third year of learning together. He loves his baby sister something big, and she puts up with his shenanigans. We all love to watch him play and grow in baseball, and watching his skills develop over the years has been fun! Happy birthday sweet Bennett! šŸŽ‚

I kept thinking about party favors, and after chatting with some friends about ideas—decided on this! I loved that I wouldn’t be handing out candy or other items that may end up just thrown away. Also, ice cream was always served with cake as a kid so what better way to get your ice cream later šŸ˜‰
Bless all you kindergarten teachers. Or any of tho Bless all you kindergarten teachers. Or any of those who are telling your students to leave their shoes on and eat a snack (not a meal). Also, any other moms out there that their kid missed their siblings more than you? šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø oh well, he enjoyed it and his teacher is literally the sweetest thing! How is your first week going? Any case of the kids say the craziest thing? I love the first day of school, and it’s such a special moment to watch and see how each child takes the day and runs with it. šŸ’™

We love making these apple donuts—they are fun for the kids to decorate—add frosting, peanut butter, sprinkles, the list goes on! Kroger now has an amazing new membership that offers FREE next day grocery delivery. They are also giving 2X the fuel points for every dollar spent* on groceries. All of this and much more for $59/Year! We love getting our groceries from Kroger as it saves so much time and money, in more places then just the grocery store.
