The View of a 30-Something Mom of two

Finally Friday

1. I confess that I am exhausted.

How is it that Bennett slept through the night last night, and I am more tired now then I am when I wake up twice with him. The science behind this is confusing as all get out. I love spending time with my boy, but nap time and bedtime are such a relaxing time. Especially bedtime. That’s the time my hubby comes home and he has Bennett/dada time. While I sit and stare off into space and play with them.

2. I confess I am pretty excited about Bennett’s first trip to the zoo.

My cousins are in town this week and they invited us to go to the zoo with them on Saturday. We are so excited to be joining them, and I am even more excited that it’s Bennett’s first time. We studied all the animals this week in all of his zoo animal books. I think he’s ready!

3. I confess that my boy is getting a little too long for his 9 Month clothes.

I noticed it the other day when I was putting his diaper on that I had to stretch his onesie a little in order for it to snap. I didn’t think too much of it, until I was looking at the size charts and realized that his length is in the 12M clothes but his weight is in the 9M clothes. I think we are going to have to pull some things here and there from our 12M pile. Sidenote: one of my friends asked me about Bennett’s feet, well I guess I still saw them as newborn feet because when I took a picture of his foot in his pjs there was cleary a toe sticking out.

4. I confess that I can’t believe how Bennett learned to pull himself up overnight over nap.

I got home early from subbing the other day, and decided I would teach Bennett a new trick. We started out in the chair to standing, then progressed to bottom on the floor with boost to standing, then just bottom on the floor. By that night he was pulling himself up in seconds. Today, he surprised us by climbing out of his chair. He kind of looked like he was heading face first but he put his arms down and moved them forward in order to bear crawl his way out.

5. I confess that I found this great new treat at Chick Fil A.

On the way home from swim class, I stopped at Chick Fil A to get some lunch to take home. I decided on a frozen lemonade instead of a drink. My choice was a great one. It was so delicious! If you like creamsicles, you will love this!

School today was exploring the Hillsborough River. School today was exploring the Hillsborough River. ☀️ We loved using @canoeescapetampa to canoe 4.5 miles and see all the wildlife that is right here in Tampa. It was insane to see so many gators at one time, I’m talking 50+ gators!

This was a great break from our day swimming, and the boys loved working on this after lunch. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming of enjoying this beautiful weather. ☀️
