Finally Friday!

Yay for Friday! I have been exhausted this week, it has actualyl been a pretty busy week in our house…hubby was out of town this past weekend which made for a long weekend! I subbed twice this week (Wednesday and today) and had swimming on Thursday. I have gone to bed by 10 every night in hopes to get a little sleep before Bennett may or may not wake up. I’ve slept great at night and feel well rested in the morning, just not when it comes to 6pm. I’ve had a headache now for probably a week off and on. Since I am nursing, I can’t really take any hard core stuff so I just pray it goes away with ibuprofen and Tylenol and mint and lavender oils. But I am so glad that it is Friday!

1. Bennett is starting to hold his breath when he goes under water.

We have been in swim class since he was 4.5 months old, and just recently (6 months) he started going under the water. I don’t know what it was about this week, but everytime we went under the water he was able to hold his breath and not drink the water. I am excited for him to continue learning about the water in swim class. When it comes to bath, he thinks it’s swim class and makes a huge mess. He loves his bath every night, and for that I am thankful.

2. I love my new water bottle.

I received my water bottle that holds the fruit in it this week in the mail! I took a picture of it and posted on Instagram, but here it is for those that don’t follow me!

3. I made a delicious sweet and sour skinny chicken yesterday. (Check it out here on Menu plan Monday)

It was probably the easiest thing to do and super yummy. I suggest if you are trying to cut calories instead of the delicious chicken from your local Chinese, try making this one night! It won’t dissapoint.

4. I made steel cut oatmeal raisin cookies! (On the blog this week!)

I only really buy steel cut oats, so when I decided to make oatmeal cookies yesterday I had to find a actual recipe for using steel cut oats. It was a great recipe, I will post this week! The only real difference is that the oats were cooked before throwing into the batter. šŸ™‚

5. I have got to find an Easter outfit for myself, as well as a dedication outfit.

Although I have lost the baby weight, these “baby hips or milk makers” as I like to call them have not gone back to where they are supposed to be, making trying on clothes not so fun. I will have to decide on something this next week as Easter is right around the corner–literally, as well as Bennetts dedication.

What you missed this week!

The sweetest mornings are spent with these three. The sweetest mornings are spent with these three. I love to do our together learning in the morning—which includes @masterbooks and @gospelproject_ devotion. My youngest even joins in for our morning breakfast devotion, and then reads and plays while we complete social studies and science. What’s your special moment each day?

He’s a sweet kid, who loves to be silly. He likes his alone time to play, but also loves when his brother plays with him. He surprises me daily with all the things he knows, and I’m so blessed we’re going on our third year of learning together. He loves his baby sister something big, and she puts up with his shenanigans. We all love to watch him play and grow in baseball, and watching his skills develop over the years has been fun! Happy birthday sweet Bennett! šŸŽ‚

I kept thinking about party favors, and after chatting with some friends about ideas—decided on this! I loved that I wouldn’t be handing out candy or other items that may end up just thrown away. Also, ice cream was always served with cake as a kid so what better way to get your ice cream later šŸ˜‰

Also, any other moms out there that their kid missed their siblings more than you? šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø oh well, he enjoyed it and his teacher is literally the sweetest thing! How is your first week going? Any case of the kids say the craziest thing? I love the first day of school, and it’s such a special moment to watch and see how each child takes the day and runs with it. šŸ’™

We love making these apple donuts—they are fun for the kids to decorate—add frosting, peanut butter, sprinkles, the list goes on! Kroger now has an amazing new membership that offers FREE next day grocery delivery. They are also giving 2X the fuel points for every dollar spent* on groceries. All of this and much more for $59/Year! We love getting our groceries from Kroger as it saves so much time and money, in more places then just the grocery store.
