Unleashing the Wanderlust Spirit: Exploring the World Through the View From Up Here

confessions, finally friday · March 6, 2015

Finally Friday!

We had a great week this week, it flew by and I am so excited for the weekend! Without further ado, here are my confessions.

1. I am excited for our date night tomorrow.

We actually didn’t go on a date night last week, and I really can’t remember if we did the week before. We have kinda been home bodies, but we didn’t really care. This week it’s go time. Movie, Top Golf, dinner, sitting in the car ok well I guess not just sitting in the car. But really anything to get out of the house and go. We will see where the night takes us. I am sure I will post on instagram!

2. Bennett started his parent tot swim class.

The first class was a real introduction, a lot different then our water babies class. We really enjoyed it though and the instructor is amazing, and really helps you out with all of the different skills you are teaching them.

3. We are getting Busch Gardens passes

For all of you Disney annual pass holders, I am jealous excited for you. We can’t really justify the purchase right now with Bennett being so little, and I know that I don’t really want to go by myself…so Busch Gardens it is. I am planning on going this summer with my brother and sister in the early morning hours, and then Adventure Island some too. I only like going in the morning during the summer…it gets way too hot any other time.

I’m also trying to talk my hubby into going this weekend since they have the Food and Wine Festival going on now.
4. I got my VOXBOX

I was chosen for a influenster box, and I received that and my Adore Me gift this week. I am hoping to do a unboxing this week as a blog/vlog post! I have a coupon code to use for Land’s End that I can share with 25 people. If you want the code just email me!

5. I don’t know what happened to Bennett’s 6 month chair picture

I really don’t know what happened to his monthly chair picture for his 6th month, thus it was recreated today at almost 6 months and 3 weeks. I couldn’t not have one, and a late one is better than not one at all.

Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let ANYONE tell you that one gender is easier than the other. Kids are kids and they each have their own personality. My daughter is very much into doing things herself without help—so potty training had to be done by her not the experts (myself). I used the same potty training technique that I used with the boys, and it did take a bit longer for her to get it—but that’s because she took what I told her to do and did her own thing. 🤣 The next big step? Moving to a big girl bed. I’m not ready. 😭
Ok smoothie, ice cream—it’s all the same thing Ok smoothie, ice cream—it’s all the same thing. Elevate your @corepower drink by using the @ninjakitchen Creami. To prep my ice cream I pour my drink into the container the night before with some bananas. The next morning it’s ready, I mix it twice on lite ice cream. If it seems like it’s not mixing well just add a splash of milk. I typically like to add Lilly’s Chocolate Chips, but they were missing so I found the marshmallows and said whatever and threw some in. I then mixed it on “mix in” and it seriously tastes like a frosty. It is delicious!
