Super Love, I Mean Super Bowl Sunday

Super Love Bowl Sunday, the day God tests you and sees if you can really be a great wife when it’s all said and done. The one day you have to be excited to watch a football game, and choose a team based on the jersey design (I mean Seattle wins that) or famous person (Tom Brady?). When in reality you are waiting for all the commercials to air. Just so you can be the judge tomorrow when everyone is putting their 2 cents in about the best and the worst of the night. Tonight I stepped up my game as a wife and joined my in-laws and hubby in watching the game.

Knowing that I wanted to do something special for my hubby in the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, we ended up watching the movie I had wanted to watch on Sunday night, on Saturday night. Although not technically the 1st, taking this night to just relax, order pizza, bake cookies, and cuddle and watch a movie was just what we needed. I ended up waking Bennett up after the movie to give him a “dream feed” so he would allow me to sleep a long stretch. Let me tell you, those nights are nice. He isn’t quite sleeping through the night yet, and the nights he wakes 3 times is killer.

Usually on Saturday and Sunday, Nic goes to either Einstein or Starbucks (sometimes both) and gets us coffee and a bagel. This morning I let him snuggle with Bennett a little longer, while I went and got the coffee. We enjoyed our coffee and a special treat chocolate chip muffins from Fresh Market. The rest of the day consisted of Bennett fighting every nap (he does that when Nic is home, it’s like he knows he’s missing out on play time), relaxation, a porch pick up (Fisher Price Soccer Ball and Merlin Sleep Suit), and finally the Super Bowl. I’m telling you my husband is just fantastic, and I thank God every day for blessing me with a wonderful husband to me and daddy to our son.

The sweetest mornings are spent with these three. The sweetest mornings are spent with these three. I love to do our together learning in the morning—which includes @masterbooks and @gospelproject_ devotion. My youngest even joins in for our morning breakfast devotion, and then reads and plays while we complete social studies and science. What’s your special moment each day?

He’s a sweet kid, who loves to be silly. He likes his alone time to play, but also loves when his brother plays with him. He surprises me daily with all the things he knows, and I’m so blessed we’re going on our third year of learning together. He loves his baby sister something big, and she puts up with his shenanigans. We all love to watch him play and grow in baseball, and watching his skills develop over the years has been fun! Happy birthday sweet Bennett! 🎂

I kept thinking about party favors, and after chatting with some friends about ideas—decided on this! I loved that I wouldn’t be handing out candy or other items that may end up just thrown away. Also, ice cream was always served with cake as a kid so what better way to get your ice cream later 😉

Also, any other moms out there that their kid missed their siblings more than you? 🤦🏼‍♀️ oh well, he enjoyed it and his teacher is literally the sweetest thing! How is your first week going? Any case of the kids say the craziest thing? I love the first day of school, and it’s such a special moment to watch and see how each child takes the day and runs with it. 💙

We love making these apple donuts—they are fun for the kids to decorate—add frosting, peanut butter, sprinkles, the list goes on! Kroger now has an amazing new membership that offers FREE next day grocery delivery. They are also giving 2X the fuel points for every dollar spent* on groceries. All of this and much more for $59/Year! We love getting our groceries from Kroger as it saves so much time and money, in more places then just the grocery store.
