Super Love Bowl Sunday, the day God tests you and sees if you can really be a great wife when it’s all said and done. The one day you have to be excited to watch a football game, and choose a team based on the jerseydesign (I mean Seattle wins that) or famousperson (Tom Brady?). When in reality you are waiting for all the commercials to air. Just so you can be the judge tomorrow when everyone is putting their 2 cents in about the best and the worst of the night. Tonight I stepped up my game as a wife and joined my in-laws and hubby in watching the game.
Knowing that I wanted to do something special for my hubby in the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, we ended up watching the movie I had wanted to watch on Sunday night, on Saturday night. Although not technically the 1st, taking this night to just relax, order pizza, bake cookies, and cuddle and watch a movie was just what we needed. I ended up waking Bennett up after the movie to give him a “dream feed” so he would allow me to sleep a long stretch. Let me tell you, those nights are nice. He isn’t quite sleeping through the night yet, and the nights he wakes 3 times is killer.
Bennett taking up the whole bed during morning snuggle time!
Usually on Saturday and Sunday, Nic goes to either Einstein or Starbucks (sometimes both) and gets us coffee and a bagel. This morning I let him snuggle with Bennett a little longer, while I went and got the coffee. We enjoyed our coffee and a specialtreat chocolate chip muffins from FreshMarket. The rest of the day consisted of Bennett fighting every nap (he does that when Nic is home, it’s like he knows he’s missing out on play time), relaxation, a porch pick up (Fisher Price Soccer Ball and Merlin Sleep Suit), and finally the Super Bowl. I’m telling you my husband is just fantastic, and I thank God every day for blessing me with a wonderful husband to me and daddy to our son.
