Growing up we always had little things given to us on Valentine’s Day. Our Papa always got us something like a box of chocolate, balloon, or a stuffed animal. My parents always got us a card and something little like candy or a cute outfit, and obviously a class set of something to give our friends.
Today on my weekly daily Target run, I ventured over to the Valentine’s candy so I could pick up some candy to make my Hubby a treat (this will be up on the blog tomorrow). I overheard a mom asking her little ones what they wanted to give their classmates. The little boy (probably 4) wanted to buy a LARGE heart shaped box of candies for all his classmates–well first he said just the girls (until his sister made fun of him). His mother quickly said that they would not purchase those, and his options were what she was standing in front of. He decided on something but then told his mother “my classmates need more then just that!”. She assured him that they would get plenty from the rest of the kids in the class. After hearing that there would be all kinds of stuff handed out…he was content.
I love giving! It really just excites me to give to people. I mean don’t get me wrong I love receiving…but giving to others just makes those people so happy, and makes you happy in return. Below are the “treats” I picked out for babies. I bought my Bennett #1,#2, and #3.
