Unleashing the Wanderlust Spirit: Exploring the World Through the View From Up Here

confessions, finally friday · February 6, 2015

Finally Friday!

Not really taking a break from my 14 Days of Love series, but today we celebrate Friday. I am so glad this week is over! I came down with a cold on Sunday night-ish (like during the Super Bowl–weird) and Bennett woke up on Tuesday all stuffy. Luckily, it didn’t escalate to anything more then a congested, annoying, annoying no fun week. We literally missed out on everything–swim, Stroller Strides, and probably My Gym tomorrow. This all in hopes that he is a perfect angel at his pictures on Saturday. Now on to my confessions.

{1}

I own a Tula. I was perfectly happy with my Ergo, but I change my mind all the time on baby products–still surprised I have my stroller 😉 I’m pretty sure whenever Nic hears me talk about a new baby item, he cringes in fear that I may want it.

{2}

I am so excited that Bennett has his Valentine’s Day Mini Session on Saturday! I can’t wait to share the pictures and show you all what his outfit was. It took me a while to find his outfit, but after much searching on all my resell sites I found it!

{3}

I’m excited to take Bennett to his first softball tournament this weekend! It is going to be beautiful out! He has gone to one before, but he was very little so he didn’t get to really watch it. Plus, he can sit up in his go pod…this will be the first of many games we get to watch!

{4}

I confess I can’t wait to go on a vacation with my hubby. One of my friends just went on their first over night trip without baby (even though the trip hasn’t gone as planned) it’s still the whole point of getting away with your stud for some good ol’ quality time. Luckily we get date night whenever we want it. 🙂

{5}

I confess that I am still getting used to the fact that I am having to wear a tankini. Think: You’re a mom now, you look like a mom. Which brings me to the question…Does anyone have any good stretch mark cream they used?

I’m linking up with these ladies today!

Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let Next time you get ready to potty train don’t let ANYONE tell you that one gender is easier than the other. Kids are kids and they each have their own personality. My daughter is very much into doing things herself without help—so potty training had to be done by her not the experts (myself). I used the same potty training technique that I used with the boys, and it did take a bit longer for her to get it—but that’s because she took what I told her to do and did her own thing. 🤣 The next big step? Moving to a big girl bed. I’m not ready. 😭
Ok smoothie, ice cream—it’s all the same thing Ok smoothie, ice cream—it’s all the same thing. Elevate your @corepower drink by using the @ninjakitchen Creami. To prep my ice cream I pour my drink into the container the night before with some bananas. The next morning it’s ready, I mix it twice on lite ice cream. If it seems like it’s not mixing well just add a splash of milk. I typically like to add Lilly’s Chocolate Chips, but they were missing so I found the marshmallows and said whatever and threw some in. I then mixed it on “mix in” and it seriously tastes like a frosty. It is delicious!
