One of the very first and favorite blogs I started following was A Blonde Ambition. I learned so much from her style of writing, tone, and ideas she had. You can say I looked up to her as a blogging mentor--virtually. Leslie started having some heart issues back in February and ended up in the hospital for a few months. About a month ago, she got to go back home and be with her two precious girls (7 months and 1.5). A few weeks after returning things seemed to take a turn for the worst and she flew up on July 17th to Cleveland Clinic to have surgery. That was the last we all had heard from her, until today when Kelly's Korner posted that she had passed.

Passed?! My mouth dropped at reading this. Tears actually welled up in my eyes. I quickly texted my husband and friend about it. I couldn't fathom leaving my babies behind, my husband. They had only just started their life together. It breaks my heart to write this. I can only pray for peace for her family. Pray for her girls who will never know their mother.

I hugged my little one a little longer this morning. Told my husband I loved him a little extra today. You never know how long you have on this earth, tell your loved ones you love them. Fix whats wrong with those that matter.

Please pray for Leslie's husband who lost his beloved wife, and his precious girls who will never get to know their mother. If you would like to donate to the family you can go here...

I am still going to continue on with my confessions every week, just as Leslie would love us all to do. ;)

  1. Wow, that is terrible. Those poor girls & her husband. Very sad. :(

  2. Awww! When I hear news like this it makes my heart ache for the family. I will be praying for them, and hoping they can have a peace settle over their home.
